looking out at the horizon
listening to the crashing waves

Nestled by a blazing fire
just watching the distant wall of fog
slowly drifting closer and closer

As she slowly sipped champagne
she gazed at the empty glass beside her

She could feel the spirits
of sunken ships and their crews
swirling all around her in the cool evening mist
as they searched for past loved ones

Ghostly whispers echoing out the names
of all the broken hearts left behind
the oceans air filled with misty droplets of lonely tears

From the horizon the great wall of fog
slowly claimed the seashore for its own
as though a blanket of soothing comfort
for all the lost souls at sea

As land, fog and sea became one
she surrendered to her beliefs
and for a moment time stood still

Running to the shores in the dark misty night
Legs numb as she stood in the chilling sea
Foamy waves rushing up to greet and caress her feet

She closed her eyes and called his name
Her warm tears blending with the sea

The fog gently swirled around her
and continued to thicken

She stretched out her arms
while whispering his name

lips meeting and tasting

One of the best-documented occurrences
this century,happened during September 1950.

"The skies took on strange colors"

Strange sorts of lights,
followed by almost complete darkness.
Varying shades from pink and orange
to yellow and brown filled the sky .

The sun disc appearing and disappearing
through breaks in the clouds,
appeared blue or purple,

This incident was reported
in the scientific journal, Weather.

Like blue skies
blue, green or lavender
suns and moons,
owe their color to
scattering of light
in the atmosphere.

The difference is in the size
of the particles doing the scattering.

The sky is blue because the molecules of air
are much smaller than the wavelength of visible light.

Blue light has a shorter
wavelength than red,
and reacts more strongly
with the tiny molecules
than red does.

The blue light is thus scattered more than red,
and we see the scattered light of the sky
as blue and the sun as reddish,
especially when it is low in the sky
and must pass through a lot of air to reach our eyes.

The effect is called Rayleigh scattering,
and it is responsible for what is called Tyndall blue.

Blue eyes, some blue feathers,
and the bluish color of the veins in your skin
are all due to Rayleigh scattering.

Particles that are much larger
than the wavelength
of light scatter all wavelengths
about equally.

Clouds and snow
are made up of particles
several times larger than
the wavelength of light
and they look white.

Blue suns and moons
and pinkish skies
occur when there are particles
in the air whose size
is just a little larger
than the wavelength of light.

These particles can resonate with light
so that certain wavelengths are strongly scattered,
while others are only affected
about half as strongly.

Oily droplets about 1 micrometer across
(a twenty-five thousandth of an inch)
will scatter red light strongly,
while letting blue light pass through,
just the opposite of Rayleigh scattering.

On September 23, 1950,
several muskeg fires
that had been quietly smoldering
for several years in Alberta
suddenly blew up into major
and very smokey fires.

The winds
carried the smoke
eastward and southward
with unusual speed.

The conditions of the fire
produced large quantities
of oily droplets of just
the right size to scatter red
and yellow light.

Wherever the smoke cleared enough
so that the sun was visible,
appeared lavender or blue.

Ontario and much
of the east coast of the U.S.
were affected by the following day.

Two days later...
observers in England
reported an indigo sun
in smoke-dimmed skies,
followed by an equally
blue moon that evening.

Forest fires
are not the only possible
producers of blue suns.

Fine, far-travelled dust
and also volcanic ash
has been known to produce
the same effect.

Many of the scientific articles written
about the blue sun of September 1950
mentioned also the strange optical effects
produced by the eruption of the volcanic
Island of Krakatoa a century ago.

The important point
is the particles
in the atmosphere
must all be very close
to the same size,
and that size must be about
a micrometer across,
a combination of circumstances
that occurs literally
once in a
"BLUE MOON".

Yesterday's full Moon over North America
was a " Blue Moon "
because it was the second full Moon
in a calendar month.

If you were lucky enough to view the
"Blue Moon",
you also saw its companion
"Jupiter".

All night long,
the giant planet snuggled
next to the Moon.

The bright pair could be seen
with the naked eye.

The moons of Jupiter,
lunar mountains,
craters, and the Great Red Spot
were surprisingly
very easy to see.

A REAL BLUE MOON!

Blue Moons are supposed to be absurd,
but on May 21st,
the Moon over Hungary
really did turn blue.

Onlookers describe it as a
"unique and unforgettable"
experience.

The display was caused by
a Sahara dust storm
that filled the air above Hungary
with dust particles about 1 micron
(one millionth of a meter)
in diameter.

Clouds of micron-sized dust can act
as a color filter,
turning the Moon
truly blue.

that there are people around us whom God is pursuing.

in line at the bank.

The world is full of men and women
who have been crying out to God
in the quiet desperation of their hearts
or in the darkness of a long night.

God has been working in their lives
and stirring a desire for him.
He wants to use us to be a light to them
and bring them the good news of hope in Jesus Christ.

Ask that his Spirit would show you
those in your neighborhood
or workplace who need to be
the recipients of your prayers.

He will help you to build relationships
with them and be a vessel
through whom God can share his love.

LORD, show me those in my neighborhood,
my circle of friends, and my family that you want me
to pray for and build relationships with.

They may be the very people he has appointed to eternal life.

Equip me to be a light to those who don't know you
and to love them for Christ's sake.

This is a powerful WAKE UP call.

It’s haunting to visualize polar bears
literally DROWNING from global warming,
unable to swim the increasingly longer distances
between sea ice and land.

So unbelievably SAD !!

WE have a DUTY to help
protect polar bears NOW
and other wildlife across the country
by confronting global warming
once and for all.

Polar bears are on a fast path to extinction.
Their ice habitat, once the size of the
continental United States
is FAST shrinking ...…over 23,000 square miles
per year!

And, because they must swim farther and farther
between land and sea ice to find food,
they are drowning and their cubs are starving.

Unfortunately, the fate of the Arctic
is not just the fate of the polar bears;
it is the fate of our children’s world
unless we confront global warming today.

But, there is HOPE !!

Just recently--and for the first time ever--the
U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service recognized the impact
of global warming on polar bears
by recommending that they be
added to the Endangered Species List.

This is a clear and unmistakable WARNING
that our changing climate is affecting

about the urgent importance of voting “Yes!” on the
Climate Stewardship and Innovation Act!

Letter to a fellow Christian

After a week,
of being pricked and probed in the Hospital
My father signed himself out
stating he was tired and was going home
adding he did not have cancer!
CONFUSION....DENIAL!!

So now he sits at home ...
as death quickly surrounds him...

stealing him away
from his wife of 55 years....

his mind flickering
as if a light slowly dimming out

If only he would of know...

Before taking that fatal nap

He would of kissed her good-bye

Oh yes indeed,

He would of professed his deep undieing LOVE!

He would of given her
a dozen beautiful fresh roses, just one more time...

He would of held her tight
and expressed his deep sorrow for this rude
and untimely departure...

He would of penned her one last Love letter
expressing his graditude for her loyal devotion
and faithful companionship...

He would of gazed into her eyes
wrapped his arms around her
and kissed her with deep passion
just one last time...

She sits by his side a dazed look on her face
trying hard to understand
what has happened these past few weeks...

He is dieing and she cannot grasp the reality of it
or even try to explain this to him
his mind could not comprehend
or even believe her words...

So she sits there watching him suffer
and slowly slip away
any day he will be gone forever...

Soon,
He will take his last step

Soon,
He will see the sun,moon & stars
for the last time

Soon,
He will say his last word

Soon,
He will give his last kiss

Soon,
He will eat his last meal

He will see his family

Perhaps one morning she will wake up
and find he has silently slipped away with the angels...

Leaving behind an empty shell
that once contained her soul mates

an old wrinkled, frail and gentle lady
will loose her life long partner
how will she ever survive
in this harsh cold world

In a flash of a moment
the reality she has known for half a century

in an enormous empty universe

... A dazed look on her face...

This once regal and youthful beauty
will search and ponder her memories
as she holds a picture frame
with her fine aged wrinkled hands
that she will not reconize as her own...

Their long life togeather
flashing before her eyes
she shall wonder
if it was not all but a dream...

How can half a century pass so fast?
she will ask, and how will I go on alone?

Forever she shall remain
glancing across the room
expecting him
to walk in at any given moment

Until the day she realizes
he is never coming back home
ever again...

She will then know
he has crossed over
and in true form, he remains his true self
preparing the way
for his eternal bride
into the spiritual world
as he always did
in the mortal world

Love is all there is , nothing else matters

If you don't have Love in your life then you are not living, the purpose of Life is to Love and be Loved, in the end that's how we will all be measured

We are generators of Love and we must ask ourselves daily, just how much Love we help produce each and every day. The best gift we can give to the world is pure unconditional love

Love of sharing, giving, compassion, kindness....teaching others that love is pure and can only be found in the simplest of forms.......sparkling eyes, an honest smile, a friendly hand on your shoulder, a warm hand shake, a much needed hug, a few words of praise or encouragement

Love is an energy that cannot be bought or sold.... nor can it be measured by human means.
It's power cannot be understood by even the highest IQ

Love is more powerful than the mightiest tropical storms, yet at the same time as gentle as a warm summer breeze

Love is faster than the speed of light yet once your touched by it...time stands still

Love begins deep inside. You must first produce it in your soul and then give of it freely. As your soul fills with Love, it soon flows outwards, producing an opening that allows for Love to flow back inside and penetrate your being, thus transforming the way you view the world

Small things suddenly begin to hold great importance and life takes on new meaning. You realize that everything you traded your life for, has little or no value, most of what you spend your time accumulating is dead or has never lived...thus void of love

It's life's single moments all strung together, that produce a worth while necklace of life....each bead a moment in time, as important as a single heart beat

So stop for a moment and just Imagine, how many minutes of your life have you traded away, for an object that you felt you just had to have

Yet you don't realize, that as you gaze upon the object of your desire you send loving thoughts that surround and penetrate it and flow back to you and this is what you are buying.....your own Loving feelings and that of others who have admired that same object

What is your value, what is a moment of your life worth to you, how can you be sure how many moments you have left

If you had three months to live then what would be the value of a moment of your life
